What You Get When You
Hire a Licensed Company

- MOST REQUESTED

Panel Upgrades and Service Changes

An undersized, full, or outdated panel is the most common reason an older home cannot take on anything new. Before you add a shop, a spa, an EV charger, or a generator, the service has to be able to carry it.

Signs Your Panel Needs Attention

  • Breakers that trip repeatedly or will not reset
  • A full panel with no room for another circuit
  • Fuses instead of breakers
  • A panel that feels warm or makes noise
  • A home inspector or insurance company flagged the panel
  • You are adding a shop, spa, EV charger, or generator

What the Job Involves

We calculate the actual load instead of guessing, size the service correctly, coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with your utility, pull the permit where one is required, and are on site for the inspection.

- BACKUP POWER

Whole Home
Standby Generators

A standby generator is wired into your home and starts on its own when the power drops. No extension cords, no hauling fuel in the dark, and no deciding which one thing stays running.

What the Installation Includes

  • Load calculation and sizing before you buy the unit

  • Placement that meets code clearances from windows, doors, and vents

  • Setting the unit on its pad

  • Automatic transfer switch installation

  • Electrical connection to your panel

  • Coordination with your gas provider or plumber for the fuel line

  • Permit and inspection where required

  • Startup and testing before we leave

"Josh came over immediately and gave me a very good price to install the automatic transfer switch and the generator. He even called the Utility to schedule a shutdown, so as to do the final house connections."

- EV CHARGING

EV Charger Installation

A Level 2 charger at home can fill most electric vehicles overnight. The work is simple when the panel has room and more involved when it does not, which is why we look before we quote.

What We Check and Install

  • Panel capacity and a load calculation
  • A dedicated 240 volt circuit sized to the charger
  • A hardwired charger or a 240 volt outlet, depending on your charger
  • Load management options when the panel is close to full
  • Permit and inspection where required

- LIGHTING

Lighting That Changes the Room

Good lighting is the upgrade people notice every day. We install recessed lighting, under-cabinet and built-in shelf lighting, fixtures and ceiling fans, and outdoor lighting for landscapes, patios, and security.

  • Recessed and can lighting
  • Under-cabinet and built-in shelf lighting
  • Chandeliers, pendants, and fixture swaps
  • Landscape, patio, and security lighting
  • LED retrofits for older fixtures

- BUILDING OR REMODELING

New Homes, Remodels, and Rewiring

We work from your plans, coordinate with the builder and the other trades, and carry the job from rough-in through trim.

New Home Construction

  • Service, panel, and distribution
  • Complete rough-in to plan
  • Lighting, fans, and device trim
  • Coordination with the builder schedule
  • Permit and inspection

Remodels and Additions

  • Reworking existing circuits
  • Added circuits for kitchens, baths, and appliances
  • Bringing older wiring up to current code as we go
  • Working around a house you are living in

Rewiring Older Homes

If your home has cloth-insulated wiring, aluminum branch circuits, or ungrounded two-prong outlets, we will tell you what has to change, what can stay, and what it will take.

- SHOPS, BARNS, AND METAL BUILDINGS

Wired for the Way Parker County Works

A lot of our residential work is not inside the house. It is the shop, the barn, the barndominium, and the service out to all of them. We run the service, set the panel, and light the space so it works for what you actually do out there.

  • New service and meter pedestals for acreage properties
  • Subpanels and feeders to shops and barns
  • LED high bay and shop lighting
  • Welder, compressor, and equipment circuits
  • Exterior and security lighting

"Josh wired my metal building and I could not be happier with the end product. He is honest, professional, on time, efficient, and doesn't leave a mess behind to be cleaned up."

- HOMEOWNER QUESTIONS -

Questions We Get
From Homeowners

What does a panel upgrade cost?

Panel upgrade costs typically depend on your home's electrical service size (e.g., 100A to 200A), panel location, and utility coordination. We provide upfront, transparent pricing before any work begins.

How long does a panel upgrade take?

Most residential panel replacements are completed within a single day (usually 4 to 8 hours), minimizing disruption to your power and daily routine.

Do I need a permit for electrical work on my house?

Yes, permits are required for panel upgrades, major circuit additions, and whole-home rewiring to ensure full compliance with local building safety codes. We handle all permitting and city inspection coordination.

Can you work while we are living in the house?

Yes. While power will be temporarily shut off during panel replacement, we schedule outages efficiently, protect your living spaces, and clean up thoroughly at the end of each workday.

My house is older. How do I know if the wiring is safe?

Common warning signs include flickering lights, frequently tripping breakers, warm or discolored outlet covers, or ungrounded two-prong outlets. A comprehensive on-site electrical inspection will accurately diagnose your wiring.

What size standby generator do I need?

Generator size depends on whether you wish to back up critical circuits (refrigerator, lights, medical devices) or your entire home including central HVAC. We perform an exact load calculation to recommend the right kW capacity.

Can my panel handle an EV charger?

Level 2 EV chargers typically require a dedicated 40A to 60A 240V circuit. We inspect your existing electrical capacity to determine if your panel can support it directly or if an upgrade/load management device is recommended.
